Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while driving. , "Coastal Flood Advisory" ...Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect from 9 am this morning to 1 PM EST this afternoon... ...Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 am EST Wednesday... The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a coastal Flood Advisory...which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 am EST Wednesday. * Locations...coastal locations along Long Island Sound. * Tidal departures...2 to 2 1/2 feet above astronomical tides tonight and Tuesday morning. * Timing...minor coastal flooding is expected for this mornings high tide cycles. Additional minor coastal flooding is expected for tonight and Wednesday mornings high tide cycles. * Coastal flood impacts...minor flooding of the most vulnerable shore roads and/or properties due to height of storm tide or wave splashover. Majority of roads remain passable with only isolated closures. Any impact on property is minimal. Precautionary/preparedness actions...
