Nesconset Man Arrested for Numerous Armed Robberies

Nesconset, NY - December 23rd, 2013 - Suffolk County Police have arrested a Nesconset man for numerous armed robberies and a burglary that occurred during the past month.

Fourth Squad detectives conducted a thorough investigation into numerous armed robberies and on December 22, they arrested Joseph Botti on Middle Avenue, in Holtsville.  He was charged with three counts of Robbery 2nd Degree after he robbed the following businesses:

Citgo, located at 545 North Country Road, Saint James, on December 14
Party Hardy, located at 145 Smithtown Blvd., Nesconset, on December 16
Game Stop, located at 117 Alexander Ave., Lake Grove, on December 19

Botti was charged with one count of Robbery 3rd Degree after he robbed the Ralph’s Italian Ices, located at 221 Smithtown Blvd., Nesconset, on December 9.

Botti was also charged with one count of Burglary 2nd Degree after he broke into a home on Truval Lane in Nesconset on December 21.

Botti, 27, of Nesconset, is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 23.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
