Two Suspects Wanted for Robbing BFCU on W. Merrick Road in Freeport

Freeport, NY - December 17th, 2013 - The Robbery Squad is investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred in Freeport on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 1:00 P.M.

According to detectives, two unknown masked male subjects entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union at 210 West Merrick Road and verbally announced a robbery. After obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency, the subjects fled the scene in a white Honda Accord northbound on South Long Beach Avenue. Subject one is further described as a male black, 6’00” tall, armed with a handgun and wearing dark colored clothing. Subject two is further described as 5’06” tall, wearing gray sweatpants, gray hooded sweatshirt and Timberland type boots. There were eight employees and nine customers present during the robbery with no injuries reported.
