10 Underprivileged Families Will Choose Their Very Own Tree in Time for Christmas, Santa & Mrs. Claus Will Give Gifts to Children

Ten underprivileged families provided the magic of Christmas through donated Christmas trees, ornaments, tree stand, lighting and tree skirt.

East Patchogue, NY - December 10, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct has partnered with Hall Enterprises and Brookhaven Hagerman East Patchogue Alliance, to provide 10 underprivileged families the magic of Christmas by donating 10 Christmas trees, ornaments, tree stand, lighting and tree skirt.

Fifth precinct officers, dressed as Santa & Mrs. Claus, will provide gifts to the children and will explore the nursery grounds of a few dozen trees in search of the perfect Christmas tree. Once a family chooses a tree, Charlie Hall, the owner of Hall Enterprises nursery, will chop their tree down.

Fifth Precinct officers, through donations, will provide the families, who were chosen by Brookhaven Hagerman East Patchogue Alliance, with tree stands, lighting and ornaments. The officers will also tie the tree to the families’ vehicle to ensure safety.
