Valley Stream, NY - December 5th, 2013 - Crimes Against Property Squad detectives report the details of two arrests for grand larceny that occurred in Valley Stream on Wednesday, 12/04/13 at 2:30 P.M.

According to detectives, Dashawn Morgan, 23, of 1630 E. 102nd St., Brooklyn and Justin Barber, 25, of 116-20 146th St.,, Jamaica, used fraudulent re-encoded Vanilla Visa Debit cards with bank account information obtained from other financial institutions, to make several purchases in Target located at 500 W Sunrise Highway.  Fourth Precinct Police Officers responded to the store after being notified by a loss prevention associate. After obtaining a description of the defendants’ vehicle, officers located the car on Sunrise Hwy/Central Ave. Numerous fraudulent Vanilla Visa Debit cards were recovered from both defendants.

Morgan and Barber are each being charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree.  Morgan is being charged with ten counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree and Barber is being charged with four counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree.  Both defendants with be arraigned on Thursday, 12/05/13 in First District Court, Hempstead.
