Glen Head Man Arrested for Burglarizing Upper Brookville Home

Upper Brookville, NY - December 4th 2014 - The Second Squad reports the details of an arrest for Burglary that occurred on October 27, 2014 at 8:45 am in Upper Brookville.

According to detectives, a 58 year old female victim returned to her Colonial Drive home and observed the rear basement door and a second floor window were forced open.  Police were notified and were able to recover DNA from the home.  After an investigation, defendant Thomas Laviano, 24, of Colonial Drive, Glen Head was placed under arrest after surrendering to the Second Squad on December 3, 2014.  There were no proceeds taken from the residence.

Defendant Laviano is being charged with Burglary 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on January 6, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead.
