On Thanksgiving morning, Suffolk County Legislator Robert Trotta and his family volunteered at the 8th Annual Nissequogue River State Park Foundation’s Turkey Trot and Walk for the Park.

Smithtown, NY - November 30, 2015 - On Thanksgiving morning, Suffolk County Legislator Robert Trotta and his family volunteered at the 8th Annual Nissequogue River State Park Foundation’s Turkey Trot and Walk for the Park. “All of the profits raised help to enhance and beautify the Nissequogue State Park,” said Legislator Trotta, whose district includes the park. Legislator Trotta and his family have volunteered at this event since its inception – helping with setting up, parking, registration, refreshments and cleaning up. The Reichert Family of Fort Salonga and Bethpage Federal Credit Union were the major sponsors of the run/walk. Through the Reichert’s, IGA of Fort Salonga and East Northport provided most of the refreshments for the event. More than 1,850 people participated in the Turkey Trot and Walk for the Park.
