Woodbury Man Arrested on Thanksgiving Eve for Firing Several Rounds with a Rifle from Residence, One Person Hit

Woodbury, NY - November 26, 2015 - The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Woodbury man for Reckless Endangerment that occurred on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 7:20 pm in Woodbury. 

According to detectives, defendant Rocco Colucci, 59, of Woodbury fired several rounds from an AR 15 rifle through an open back door while standing inside his residence.  The fired rounds struck an occupied residence located on Caumsett Wood Lane.  There were no reported injuries. Defendant Colucci was placed under arrest at his home without further incident.  The semi-automatic rifle, two (2) magazines and numerous shell casing were recovered at scene.

Defendant Colucci is being charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, November 27, 2015 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
