Update - November 27, 2015 - Marcos Castro, 21, of Brentwood, has been identified as the pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in Brentwood last night. Castro is in serious condition at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

Brentwood, NY - November 26, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Brentwood tonight.

Catherine Ocampohincapie was driving a 2010 Nissan Versa when she struck an unidentified adult male pedestrian at the intersection of Suffolk Avenue and Brentwood Road at approximately 8:30 p.m. The pedestrian was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious head trauma. Ocampohincapie, 19, of Central Islip stayed at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
