Selden, NY - November 25, 2013 - Legislators Tom Muratore (R-Ronkonkoma) and John Kennedy (R-Nesconset) recently attended a Thanksgiving Dinner provided by the St. Regis Council #4651 in Lake Ronkonkoma, which was served to local military personnel and their families. Both legislators donated food, and attended to personally thank the veterans who have bravely served our country.

“At this time of year, when we reflect on all we have to be thankful for, it is especially important to remember our veterans past and present, who defend our nation’s freedom. It was an honor to greet our local heroes and thank them personally, as well as the members of St. Regis Knights of Columbus for hosting such a wonderful event,” stated Legislator Muratore.

Legislator Kennedy commented, “I was honored to join with my staff, Legislator Muratore and Mark Johnson, along with other St. Regis Council members in hosting more than 80 active military members and their families for pre-Thanksgiving dinner. We appreciate their commitment to serve, and were proud to show these brave men and women some good old-fashioned church-bred hospitality.”
