Nassau County PD: Two Men Wanted for Mugging Postal Worker in Hempstead

Hempstead, NY - November 19th, 2013 - The Third Squad reports the details of a Robbery which occurred on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 7:10 P.M. in Hempstead.

According to detectives, the male victim, 38, a USPS mail carrier, was approached from behind on Booth Street and Long Beach Road by two male blacks dressed in all black.

They grabbed his U.S. Postal mail bag and pulled it off his shoulder.  They searched through the bag removing the victim’s personal property.  The suspects left the bag on the ground and fled on foot westbound on Booth Street.  No injuries were reported.
