Islip Town to Consider Rooster Restrictions Owned by Local Residents at Public Hearing.

Islip, NY - November 18th, 2014 - Town of Islip Councilman Steven J. Flotteron is introducing a new restriction at a public hearing today Tuesday November 18, 2014 at 2pm at Town Hall that would provide relief for local residents that complain about the noise of local roosters

The town code allows residents to keep up to 15 roosters per 500 square feet of rear yard space as long they are "securely enclosed" in a structure, yard or enclosure that is at least 10 feet away from a property line.
