Local Company Supplies Key Ingredient for Holiday Food Packages.

Hauppauge, NY - November 18th, 2013 - Executive Director Paule Pachter will help Gourmet Factory Owner Themis Kangadis unload a tractor trailer full of the company’s Capatriti Olive Oil for use in more than 580 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, group homes, day treatment facilities, senior nutrition sites and day care centers, on Tuesday, November 19, at 11:00 AM at Long Island Cares, Inc-The Harry Chapin Food Bank, located at 10 Davids Drive, Hauppauge, NY. 

This donation of 400+ bottles of Capatriti Olive Oil – will help ensure all Long Island neighbors have the necessary ingredients to make a delicious holiday meal for friends and family.

Long Island Cares, is the regional food bank for Long Island and distributes over 6.2 million pounds of food and supplies annually for low-income and needy families in Suffolk and Nassau counties.  

The Gourmet Factory, located just streets away from the food bank in Hauppauge, is delighted to offer needed supplies of olive oil for area families to use in their holiday cooking.  The olive oil will be distributed throughout the local pantries as part of its Thanksgiving and Christmas packages.  As part of their corporate philosophy, the company has pledged to work in its community to better the lives of local residents.
