Glen Head, NY - November 17th, 2014 - Third Squad detectives report the details of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in Glen Head on Sunday, 11/16/14 at 9:41 P.M.
According to detectives, a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, operated by Jeffrey Schneider, 21, of Hempstead, was traveling northbound on Glen Cove Ave./University Place, when he struck a large rock with the vehicle’s front tire. This caused the aided to be ejected from the motorcycle, striking a large tree.
Glen Cove Fire Department Ambulance transported Schneider to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:36 P.M. by a staff physician.
Detectives report no apparent criminality at this time. The motorcycle was impounded for brake and safety inspection.
