Mangano Announces “Owl Prowl” At Old Bethpage Village Restoration

Old Bethpage, NY - November 14th, 2014 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has announced that the “Owl Prowl” live presentation and night hike will take place at Old Bethpage Village Restoration on Saturday, November 29th at 6:00 p.m.

The Owl Prowl features a 1-hour live animal presentation featuring owls from Long Island, as well as all over the world. Following the presentation will be a night hike to hear and see who is awake after sunset. Please bring a flashlight.

Admission for the presentation is $5.00 per person. The hike is an additional $3.00 for the first 30 people that register. Unfortunately, the museum and preserve cannot accommodate more than 30 people for the night hike. Please note that the night hike will be cancelled in event of heavy rain.

Old Bethpage Village Restoration provides visitors with a unique and wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience life in a recreated mid-19th Century American village set on more than 200 acres. The hours of operation at Old Bethpage Village Restoration are: Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Entrance fees are: $10 for adults, $7 for children (5 – 12), seniors and volunteer firefighters. Old Bethpage Village Restoration is located at 1303 Round Swamp Road in Old Bethpage (Exit 48 of the Long Island Expressway).
