Mastic Beach, NY - November 13th, 2014 - Chef Sara Samuels from Johnson & Wales University recently paid a visit to the Culinary Arts students at William Floyd High School for a cooking demonstration and to answer questions about the University’s world-renowned College of Culinary Arts.

While preparing Nime Chow or spring rolls, Chef Samuels discussed the importance of fresh ingredients, knife skills and plate presentation, said Mr. Rich Daly, Culinary Arts teacher, William Floyd High School, who himself is a Johnson & Wales alumnus (BA 2002/MAT 2004). “She also gave a few kitchen secrets away while working with the students.”

After sampling the spring rolls, students had the opportunity to ask questions about Johnson & Wales and what it has to offer. They discussed classes, financial aid, clubs, sports, life on campus and more. “My students were definitely intrigued and now understand why Johnson & Wales is considered one of the top culinary schools in the world,” said Mr. Daly.
