Plainview, NY - November 11th, 2014 - The Nassau County Police report the arrest of a Patchogue woman for Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 1:20 A.M. in Plainview.

According to officers, the defendant Tiffany Alicea, 28 of Maple Avenue was eastbound on the Long Island Expressway in a Dodge SUV when she was observed speeding by Highway Patrol Officers.  The officers conducted a traffic stop at which time they determined Alicea was intoxicated and placed her under arrest.  Also in the vehicle at the time of arrest was the defendant’s 2 year old daughter.  The child was removed from scene by the father.

Tiffany Alicea is charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving While Intoxicated, two counts of Aggravated Unlicensed 1st degree, Suspended Registration and multiple traffic violations including Speeding, Unregistered Vehicle, Uninsured Vehicle, Uninspected Vehicle, Unlicensed Operator.  She will be arraigned on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
