This holiday season is gearing up to be a great one - with Thanksgiving right around the corner, there's plenty of festive fun beginning right here on Long Island! This Holiday Season, if you're looking to do something extra special with your friends and family, you'll want to check out one of the wonderful Light Shows coming to the Island this year - the GSSC's 11th Annual Holiday Light Show, and the Jones Beach "Holiday Lights Spectacular." Grab your hot cocoa, and load up your car - it's time for some serious holiday fun!

For the past 11 years, the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County have hosted their annual Holiday Light Show at Camp Edey in Bayport, and this year is no different! From December 12th through 21st, you can head over to Camp Edey from 5 PM - 9 PM to drive through miles of beautiful holiday vignettes and displays, illuminated with millions of lovely lights. Monday through Thursday, admission is $15 per carload, and Friday through Sunday, admission is $20 per carload. This year, for the first time ever, tickets must be purchased online or by phone - so be sure to log on to the Light Show's official website to pick up your tickets ahead of time!

The Jones Beach State Park “Holiday Lights Spectacular," last held in 2007, has finally returned! This Long Island holiday tradition has been on hiatus for the past 7 years but now with Governor Cuomo’s $65 million Jones Beach Revitalization Plan in effect this wonderful holiday tradition has been revitalized. The lights spectacle will have over 150 animated and synchronized light displays along a 2 and a half mile drive for patrons to enjoy. The event will also have its first Holiday Village, featuring bright festive lights, holiday music, refreshments, photos with Santa, local school choir performances and a hay maze! The Holiday Lights Spectacular will begin on Thursday, November 20 and run through Sunday, January 4. Here is the schedule from their website. Visitors can experience the display each day from dusk until 10 PM Monday through Thursday and until 11 PM Friday through Sunday.
Admission for the Holiday Lights Spectacular is $20 per vehicle and $25 on weekends.
