East Farmingdale, NY - November 8, 2016 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in East Farmingdale earlier this evening.
Warren Prochaska was walking along eastbound Route 109, north of Southern State Parkway, in East Farmingdale, when he was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox at approximately 6:30 p.m. Prochaska, 83, of North Babylon, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Denise Thomas, 56, of Deer Park, was not injured and remained at the scene.
