Freeport, NY - November 5th, 2013 - Robbery Squad detectives are investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred on November 4, 2013 at 3:58 pm in Freeport.

According to detectives, a male white subject entered the Bethpage Federal Credit Union, 210 West Merrick Road, approached a teller while producing a handgun and verbally demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the bank through the rear doors towards Long Beach Avenue.

Present during the Robbery were eight employees and three customers, none of whom were injured.

The male white subject was further described as being approximately 25-30 years old, about 5’10” to 6’ tall with an average build. He was wearing a black jacket, grey hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a black baseball cap.
