Nassau PD Investigating Two Robberies

The NCPD is investigation separate incidents in New Hyde Park and Massapeuqa.

New Hyde Park, NY - October 30, 2013 - The Third Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11:30 p.m. in New Hyde Park.

According to detectives, the male victim 57 years of age was dispatched in his taxi to pick up three male passengers in Jamaica Queens. The subjects directed the victim to drive to the vicinity of Primrose Drive. When the victim pulled the vehicle over, the first subject, a male Hispanic,  grabbed the victim’s around his neck, while the second subject, a male black, produced a knife and the third subject a male Middle Eastern reached over an took the victim’s cell phone, wallet and car keys. All three subjects fled on foot eastbound on Primrose Drive. There were no injuries reported.

Massaoequa, NY - October 31, 2013 - The Seventh Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 7:45 p.m. in Massapequa.

According to detectives, the male victim, 23 years of age, was walking westbound on Oakley Street when he was approached by a male black subject, approximately 25 years of age, 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing a black under armor sweat shirt with red logo on the front. The subject produced a black handgun and demanded the victim’s iPad and iPhone. The victim placed the items on the ground and ran west on Oakley Street. The subject fled in an unknown direction with the proceeds. There were no injuries reported.
