11 William Floyd Student-Musicians Selected for All-County Honors Festival

Eleven William Floyd High School student-musicians have been chosen to perform at the NYSCAME/SCMEA All-County Music Festival scheduled for November 20 in Huntington.

Mastic Beach, NY - October 26th, 2015 - Eleven William Floyd High School student-musicians have been chosen to perform at the NYSCAME/SCMEA (New York State Council of Administrators for Music Education/Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association) All-County Music Festival scheduled for November 20 in Huntington. This honors festival is reserved for the top 11th- and 12th-grade student-musicians in all of Suffolk County.

William Floyd’s NYSCAME/SCMEA All-County student-musician selections are: Calvin Arancibia, Ryan Cotto, Shelby Hafener and Steven Shaw under the direction of Michael Cordaro; Giselle Castillo, Elizabeth Ertola, Saisha Hameed, Scott Sottung and Theresa Terlato under the direction of Barbara D’Orio; and Brandon Dering and Sarah Mazzarella under the direction of Christopher Shaughnessy.

“To have so many students selected to work and perform alongside the best in Suffolk County is a tremendous honor for our students and our teachers,” said Ryan Feldscher, Music Department Chairperson, William Floyd School District. “We are very proud of their accomplishments and look forward to their continued success.”
