Williston Park, NY - October 26, 2014 - Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Staten Island man for making terroristic threats which occurred in Williston Park on Wednesday, 10/22/14 at 2:49 P.M.

According to detectives, John Hardy, 52, of 117 Water St., called the Third Precinct located at 214 Hillside Ave., claiming to be a terrorist and threatened to kill everyone by placing a bomb in the precinct.   A short time later, the defendant called the Nassau County Police Department Communication Emergency Call Center and stated he had left a bag containing dynamite inside the doorway of the Third Precinct.  The building was searched with negative results.

Third Squad detectives along with Bureau of Special Operations police officers located and arrested Hardy on Saturday, 10/25/14 in Staten Island.  He is being charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Sunday, 10/26/14 in First District Court, Hempstead.
