Uniondale, NY - October 202nd, 2014 - PSEG Long Island today appointed Paul Napoli as its vice president of power markets, effective immediately. Napoli joins the Long Island team after 35 years with the Utility’s sister company, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G). In his new role, Napoli will report to David M. Daly, who is PSEG Long Island’s President and COO.

As PSEG Long Island assumes responsibility for the power markets function from the Long Island Power Authority in January, Napoli will manage the development of the Authority’s electric resource plan; fuel and purchased-power forecasting and management, including contract negotiation and administration; power project development and management; and participation in the region’s wholesale electricity markets.

“Paul’s accomplishments over the more than three decades he’s been with PSE&G position him well to lead the power markets team here at PSEG Long Island,” Daly said. “I am confident that Paul will use his vast experiences to help us find ways to responsibly minimize the fuel and electricity supply costs while continuing the best-in-state reliability our customers on Long Island and in the Rockaways are accustomed to experiencing.”

Napoli joined Newark-based PSE&G as an engineer in 1979, handling a variety of transmission, gas, electric, wholesale and retail policy and regulatory matters involving both regulated and non-regulated sides of the company. After holding several other technical engineering positions in PSE&G, he was named General Manager of Transmission Plant and Engineering in 2001. In 2007, he was named Managing Director of Transmission Business Services and Strategy.

Napoli graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and holds an MBA in finance from Seton Hall University, along with certificates in Mergers and Acquisitions from UCLA, and Finance from Dartmouth College.
