DA Rice’s Bed Bug Task Force Will Host Workshop for Landlords, Home Inspectors, and Social Service Providers

Bethpage, NY - October 22nd, 2013 - Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice said that her Nassau County Bed Bug Task Force will host a workshop tomorrow at 9 a.m. for landlords, property managers, home inspectors, home health care aides, and social service providers on issues such as bed bug inspections, control, and bug-sniffing dogs.

The workshop will take place at the Morrelly Homeland Security Center in Bethpage.

The Task Force has more than 50 members, including representatives from the Nassau County Department of Health, Nassau County Office of Housing and Homeless Services, numerous community groups and local government agencies, and pest control companies.

It was created out of DA Rice’s Terrace-Bedell Initiative to reduce crime and improve the quality-of-life in the Terrace-Bedell section of Hempstead.
