LI's Adorable Adoptables is a weekly column by Allison Matos, a lifelong Long Island resident who has been advocating animal adoption since 2012. Allison's weekly posts highlight local animals in need of adoption, and cover general animal welfare topics as well.

Everyone is buzzing about Queenie! This 2 and a half year old, brindle beauty, came to the TOH Animal Shelter as a stray after being tied up to a construction site and abandoned.

Thankfully, Queenie was not fazed by the ordeal, and thankfully she didn’t end up in the wrong hands. Queenie is awesome, and Queenie is looking for an equally awesome home! This beauty already knows the commands “sit” and “down”, she is playful with toys and friendly with people. Queenie is super playful and social with dogs (so much so that we use her to test OTHER dogs and she is super nice with everyone!) Queenie has been recommended for a home with kids 13 and up, due to very slight discomfort with people near her food. Lets help Queenie find her forever home asap! Please call for more information: 516-785-5220 or come visit her at: 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh NY 11793.

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop...pass it on!
