According to detectives, Salvatore Brecciano, 46, of 995 Tyrus Ct., entered a 7-11 store located at 203 Sunrise Hwy in N. The defendant passed the Merrick Firehouse located at 2075 Meadowbrook Rd. and entered an ambulance, which was parked in the front, with the keys in the ignition.  The defendant put the beer down next to the ambulance and pulled away. Shortly thereafter First Precinct Police Officers recovered the unoccupied ambulance on Durham Rd./N. Jerusalem Ave. in N.
