West Babylon, NY - October 17, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Vehicular Crime Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a man in a wheelchair in West Babylon last night.
Michael Dora, 40, of West Babylon, was in the right lane on southbound Great East Neck Road when he was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Dora was transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle involved is believed to be dark in color, possibly a Nissan, with front-end damage.
