Holbrook, NY - October 16, 2016 - Jeffrey Montgomery was operating a 1999 Triumph motorcycle southbound on Coates Avenue in Holbrook at 12:32 p.m. when his vehicle struck the right rear wheel of a 2014 Mercedes-Benz, driven by Brittany Onorato, who was traveling northbound and attempting to make a left turn onto Leonard Street.
Montgomery, 24, of Holbrook, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Onorato, 28, of Holbrook, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
