Twelve Individuals Arrested during "Project 21" Initiative

The Fourth Precinct reports the arrests of 12 individuals during the “Project 21” initiative which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors within the confines of Nassau County.

Nassau County, NY - October 17, 2014 - The Fourth Precinct reports the arrests of 12 individuals during the “Project 21” initiative which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors within the confines of Nassau County.  This initiative was conducted on October 16, 2014.

According to Officers, with the assistance of an underage agent, the following individuals were arrested for Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage and Unlawful Dealing with a Child:

Defendant Essam Behman, 26, of 1671 Woodbine Street, Ridgewood sold alcohol to a minor at the Mobil gas Station located 144 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead.

Defendant Batuhan Daban, 21, of 138 Woodfield Road, West Hempstead sold alcohol to a minor at the OK Food Mart located at 151Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead.

Defendant Melida Hudson, 61, 135-29 233rd Street, Laurelton sold alcohol to a minor at the Hess Gas Station located at 435 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead.

Defendant Paramjit Ghotra, 56, 90-49 176th Street, Jamaica sold alcohol to a minor at the Mobil Gas Station located at 579 Hempstead Turnpike, West Hempstead.

Defendant Carmen Morales, 33, of 842 North Corona Avenue, Valley Stream sold alcohol to a minor at The Wizard Oz located at 970 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square.

Defendant Srinivas Kommuri, 44, of 179 Nevada Street, Hicksville sold alcohol to a minor at The Smoke Shop located at 774 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square.

Defendant Servet Bordanaci, 53, of 763 Roosevelt Street, Franklin Square sold alcohol to a minor at the Star Gas Station located at 740 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square.

Defendant Sanjay Patel, 50, of 87-07 188th Street, Holliswood sold alcohol to a minor at the  P&S Spirits located at 864 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square.

Defendant Anthony Brito, 49, of 284 James Street, Franklin Square sold alcohol to a minor at the Mamp Deli located 1051 Hempstead Turnpike, Franklin Square.

Defendant Faheem Khan, 52, of 1486 Sweetham Avenue, Elmont sold alcohol to a minor at the Crown Deli and Food Mart located at 53 Meacham Avenue, Elmont.

Defendant Vinodbhai Patel, 48, 153-46 78th Road, Flushing sold alcohol to a minor at the Lucky Convenience Store located at 782 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont.

Defendant Vijay Patel, 26, of 1578 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont sold alcohol to a minor at the Deli/GN 90 located 1578 Hempstead Turnpike, Elmont.

All defendants were released on an Appearance Ticket and are due back in First District Court, Hempstead on November 6, 2014.
