Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at an HSBC bank branch in Hauppauge today.

Hauppauge, NY - October 17th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at an HSBC bank branch in Hauppauge today.

A man entered the bank, located at 660 Motor Parkway, approached a teller, and produced a note demanding cash.  The teller complied with the demand and gave the suspect cash from the drawer at approximately 2 p.m.  The man fled on foot east bound on Motor Parkway.

The robber is described as Hispanic, 25-35 years-old, approximately 5 feet one inch to 5 feet 3 inches tall with a medium build.  He was wearing a grey sweatshirt and a black and white striped baseball hat.
