Update - October 17, 2014 - The Homicide Squad has identified the victim in the above fatal shooting as Ehrik Williams, 25 of Hempstead.
Hempstead, NY - October 16th, 2014 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 9:40 a.m. in Hempstead.
According to detectives, Hempstead Police officers responded to Morrell Street and Morton Avenue for a shots fired call. Upon their arrival the officers discovered a male 25, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 10:17 a.m. by hospital staff.
