Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash that seriously injured a passenger in North Babylon this afternoon.

North Babylon, NY - October 15, 2014 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash that seriously injured a passenger in North Babylon this afternoon.

William Peycke was a passenger in a 2004 Jeep traveling northbound on Deer Park Avenue, when the Jeep made a left turn toward Prairie Drive and was struck by a 2014 Buick traveling southbound at approximately 2:30 pm.

Peycke, 63, of Bay Shore, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was in serious condition. The driver of the Jeep, his daughter, Denise Peycke 40, of Bay Shore, and the driver of the Buick, Audrey Lavin, 75, of Carle Place were also transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center with minor injuries.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
