Hicksville, NY - October 9th, 2013 - Second Squad detectives report the arrest of a Hicksville man for a Robbery that occurred on October 8, 2013 at 12:35 am in Hicksville.

According to detectives, while walking towards the Hicksville Train Station to take a train home from work, the 49 year old male victim was approached from behind by Dominick Marinelli, 20, of 65 Combes Avenue. As the victim approached the east parking lot of the train station, Marinelli pushed the victim into a parked vehicle. After a brief struggle, Marinelli fled the scene with the victim’s wallet and backpack.


The victim then called 911 and upon police arrival a description of Marinelli was broadcast. Assisting officers located the defendant a short distance away, was identified by the victim and was placed under arrest without incident.

The victim, who sustained cuts and abrasions about his body, refused medical attention. During a search of the area, the victim’s property was recovered.

Marinelli is charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 10/09/2013.
