Lindenhurst, NY - October 8, 2015 - Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre (D-Babylon) announced that she is collecting new, unwrapped toys on behalf of Toys for Tots through December 11th.

“Every child deserves the chance to have a joyous holiday season,” said Assemblywoman Jean-Pierre. “I’m hosting this toy drive because I know that our community’s generosity can make a difference.”

Donations can be brought to Jean-Pierre’s district office, located at 640 W. Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst. The office is open every weekday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To better accommodate those who want to participate, the office will also be open on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Toys for Tots is a toy drive organized by the U.S. Marine Corps each year since 1947 to provide holiday gifts to the children of families in-need. Since the program began, more than 494 million toys have been collected, helping over 230 million children.
