Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in West Babylon early this morning.

West Babylon, NY - October 4th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in West Babylon early this morning.

Corey Hall, 29, was crossing Route 109 from East Drive when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The vehicle is described as a dark or black-colored sedan, possibly a Mercedes Benz, that might have sustained left side front end damage.

Hall, of Brentwood, was transported via West Babylon Ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and is listed in serious condition.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
