Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Lake Ronkonkoma Crash

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Lake Ronkonkoma this morning.

Lake Ronkonkoma, NY - October 3rd, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Lake Ronkonkoma this morning.

Peter Garabedian was in the roadway on Express Drive North, near Hawkins Avenue, at 5:35 a.m. when he was struck by a 2002 Hyundai traveling westbound, driven by Michael Fici.

Garabedian, 53, of Selden, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Fici, 49, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
