Come choose and purchase one of hundreds of pumpkins on display on the lawn of the Nassau County Executive Building which have been painted pink and beautifully adorned and bedazzled with stones and such as a donation to this special cause.

First Company Pink is passionately committed to raising funds to support lifesaving breast cancer research. Their focus is to promote wellness and increase public awareness aligning efforts with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation aimed to fund clinical and translational research, and seek prevention before a cure is needed. Remain diligent, inspired, persistent and committed to reach their goal, First Company Pink’s 2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch Breast Cancer Fundraiser is aimed at raising funds and awareness while having fun! With this year’s vendors Bangz Hair Spa, DeBellos Restaurant, The Chocolate Duck, Starbucks, The Home Depot, Josephine Rose Photography, Elite Dance Centre and more the festival will also feature Comedy Central Comedian Carie Karavas and the “Glow of Hope” dome-lighting ceremony.

This year Brandon Irizarry of  BZarry Events and Promotion-Pro Inc. wanted to make the event spectacular, pairing A-list celebs and musicians for a can’t-miss festival that will bring both awareness and funding to two great organizations helping in the fight against breast cancer. About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of their lifetime, and in 2015, an estimated 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S., along with 60,290 new cases of non-invasive (in situ) breast cancer. About 2,350 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men in 2015, and a man’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000. Statistics like these are the reason First Company Pink and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation are stepping in to help fight back.

With Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano  making October “Got Checked?” Month, First Company Pink’s Second Annual Breast Cancer Fundraiser is committed to help raise research funds with your help!

Come and join in at this great event for an even greater cause Thursday, October 8th at 3:00PM on the lawn of the County Executive Office at 1550 Franklin Ave, Mineola, NY 11501!

More About First Company Pink
First Company Pink is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in April 2010 by Donna Cioffi, as a selfless act of courage, following her own personal battle with breast cancer.  Donna along with others close to her, have experienced firsthand what it’s like to be on the frontline of the battlefield.  In the very first moment of diagnosis we are transformed into soldiers, warriors, fighters … forced to “choose to live”.  Blessed with the gift of a second chance we stand strong as an example of hope and possibilities.  First Company Pink will remain vigilant in its continued effort to eradicate breast cancer in this lifetime.
