NCPD: Bank Robbery in Valley Stream

Police are investigating an armed bank robbery that took place in Valley Stream.

Valley Stream, NY - September 24, 2014 - The Major Case Bureau, Robbery Squad, reports the details of a bank Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 10:18am in Valley Stream.
 
According to Detectives, an unknown subject entered the Dime Savings Bank located at 175 Merrick Road and verbally announced a robbery while displaying a handgun to employees. After obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency the subject fled the scene in an unknown direction.  There were five employees and one customer present at the time of the robbery.  No injuries were reported.
 
The subject is described as a male black, 6’, wearing a white fedora hat, black cloth mask, white dress shirt, blue button down sweater and black dress pants.
