Bellmore, NY - September 22, 2015 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and County Legislator Steve Rhoads today announced a Bellmore Streetscape Project as a part of Nassau County’s “Operation Restore Our Roadways.”

“My administration has made it a priority to restore our roads and enhance the quality of life in our communities,” said County Executive Mangano. “The Merrick Road Streetscape is just one example of road improvements and community beautification projects taking place throughout Nassau County.”

The Bellmore Streetscape Project will take place on Merrick Road between Prospect Avenue and Bedford Avenue. Work includes removing existing deteriorated concrete sidewalks and curbs, replacement of sidewalks, curbs and decorative utility strips and installation street furniture, lighting fixtures and trees.

“Residents and businesses in the 19th Legislative District have worked hard to build beautiful communities in which to live, work and raise a family, and the Bellmore Streetscape Project is an example of the County’s continuing commitment to ensure that the Merrick Road corridor reflects the pride we share,” added Legislator Steve Rhoads.
