NCPD report the arrest of Walter Fuentes-Carranza of Queens, 21, for an incident that occurred on Friday, September 8, in Great Neck.

Great Neck, NY – September 20, 2017 – Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Little Neck, Queens man for an incident that occurred on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 3:50 am in Great Neck.
 
According to detectives, Walter Fuentes-Carranza, 21, while on Northern Boulevard, became involved in a verbal argument with a 36 year old male whom he is an acquaintance of. The argument escalated, Fuentes-Carranza struck the victim in the face with a rock, took his cell phone, $500.00 and fled the scene. The victim, who sustained a contusion to his face, refused medical attention.
 
A subsequent investigation led detectives to the identity and location of Fuentes-Carranza and he was placed under arrest on Wednesday, September 19, 2017 at his place of employment.
 
The defendant is charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 9/20/2017.   
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
