Stony Brook, NY - September 20, 2016 - The suspense of a classic murder mystery comes to Staller Center for the Arts’ Main Stage as a ‘whodunit’ on Saturday, October 15 at 8:00 pm. Aquila Theatre, in its 25th anniversary season, stages Murder on the Nile, a drama by one of the greatest mystery writers in world literature, Agatha Christie.

The setting is a BBC radio studio in London during World War II.  Some members of the cast arrive and prepare for a live radio broadcast of Murder on the Nile, set on a paddle steamer cruising the legendary Nile River in 1940’s Egypt. As an air raid prevents the full cast from assembling, the question becomes, “Can the show go on?”

Aquila Theatre brings its innovative touch to this deliciously dangerous murder mystery. Enjoy an evening of theater, staged as a live radio show taking place within the play. The three cast members, Lincoln Hudson, Palmyra Mattner and Toby Miller, play over ten roles in the play, directed by Peter Meineck. Tickets  for Aquila Theatre’s Murder on the Nile are $38 at stallercenter.com or at (631) 632-ARTS [2787].
