Great Neck, NY - Septemver 17, 2014 - Over 300 members of the Long Island community came together for FIDF’s Community Fun Fair at Saddle Rock Park in Great Neck on Sunday.

The event was held to benefit FIDF’s Strides Program, which helps wounded Israel Defense Forces veterans. The program provides wounded IDF veterans with special prosthetics for athletic activities, helping them live life without limitations.

Organized by Tal Ben-Josef, a Great Neck high school student, the Fun Fair offered jewelry, baked goods from local businesses, and carnival games for children such as a bounce house and ring toss. Guests were also invited to sponsor “Shana Tova” (Happy Rosh Hashanah) packages for soldiers, as part of FIDF’s Dignity program, to help make the New Year sweeter.

Attendees included Saddle Rock Mayor Dan Levy and Town Supervisor of North Hempstead Judi Bosworth.
