Stony Brook, NY - September 17th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at a Capital One Bank branch in Stony Brook.

A man entered the bank, located at 64 Main St., approached a teller at 12:40 p.m. and demanded cash. The teller complied with the demand and gave the suspect cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot.

The robber is described as white, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, between 35 and 45 years old, with a medium build and balding hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
