Copiague, NY - September 17, 2015 - Copiague Harbor Beach Club Beach, in the Town of Babylon, is closed to bathing due to the finding of bacteria at levels that exceed New York State standards.
According to Suffolk County Commissioner of Health Dr. James Tomarken, bathing in water contaminated with bacteria can result in gastrointestinal illness, as well as infections of the eyes, ears, nose, and throat.
