Deer Park, NY - September 13, 2016 - Girls Inc. of Long Island is pleased to announce Janet Marcic as its new executive director! Ms. Marcic brings more than a decade of nonprofit experience to Girls Inc., and is prepared to lead the organization as we continue to meet the needs of girls by providing research-based programming across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

"It's an honor to join Girls Inc. of Long Island-- the mission of this organization is needed more now than ever," says Ms. Marcic. "Confident girls grow up feeling secure in themselves. They learn to take action, making positive choices about their own lives and doing positive things for others. They think critically about the world around them. I am excited by the important work ahead and especially excited to meet with individuals that inspire our participants each and everyday."

Marcic's community involvement has included serving as board member of Family & Children's Association in Mineola and currently sits on the board of Catholic Migration Services in Brooklyn, NY. For the past 16 years, Ms. Marcic has also been an EMMY® Awards judge for the National Academy of Television Arts, and Sciences, New York Chapter.

Welcome Janet Marcic by sending her an email.
