No-Cost Women’s Self-Defense Training Hosted by Legislator Anker and Suffolk County Police

Mount Sinai, NY - September 12, 2017 - On Thursday, September 14th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker will host a FREE Women’s Self-Defense Training Program in conjunction with the Suffolk County Police Department and Long Island Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The event will be held at the Mt. Sinai Fire Department (746 Mount Sinai-Coram Rd, Mount Sinai, NY) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Participants in this free training program will learn simple and effective self-defense tactics to increase confidence and the ability to protect yourself in a dangerous situation. This class will not only teach practical self-defense, but will also cover numerous ways to avoid and navigate dangerous situations.

The training program is free and open to all ages. All participants must register in advance. You can register by calling Legislator Anker’s office at 631-854-1600 or by emailing ContactLegislatorAnker@suffolkcountyny.gov.
