Huntington Station, NY - September 7, 2017 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a bicyclist in Huntington Station on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
 
Naeem Iqbal was driving a 2007 Honda Accord westbound on Broadway and crossing Route 110 when he struck a bicyclist that was riding in the center of southbound Route 110 at approximately 7:55 p.m.
 
The bicyclist, Miguel Vilorio Ponce, 31, of Huntington Station, N.Y. was transported via Huntington Community First Aid Squad in critical condition to Huntington Hospital. Iqbal, 42, of Huntington, N.Y. was not injured.
 
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
