Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre (D-Babylon) announced that she helped secure additional funding for school districts in the 11th Assembly District.

Lindenhurst, NY - August 28, 2015 - Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre (D-Babylon) announced that she helped secure additional funding for school districts in the 11th Assembly District. Copiague Public School District will receive $100,000, Lindenhurst Union Free School District will receive $100,000 and Wyandanch Union Free School District will receive $200,000.

“Making investments in our children’s education is essential to providing them with the high-quality education they need for a successful future,” stated Assemblywoman Jean-Pierre. “This additional funding will greatly help our community’s school districts, and I will continue fighting on behalf of Long Island schools to ensure they have the resources they need to provide the best education possible for our children.”

The funding secured by Assemblywoman Jean-Pierre will be used to help preserve vital education programs while lowering the burden on taxpayers.
