Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the appointment of Megan Daly as the newest member of the Albany Convention Center Authority (ACCA).

Albany, NY - August 27, 2013 - Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the appointment of Megan Daly as the newest member of the Albany Convention Center Authority (ACCA).

“I am pleased to name Megan Daly as the newest member of the Albany Convention Center Authority,” Governor Cuomo said. “Ms. Daly’s extensive experience in economic development at both the state and local levels will prove invaluable as the Authority explores the feasibility of the new plan for a convention center in New York State’s capital.”

Megan E. Daly became Director of Economic Development and Procurement of the Albany Port District Commission in March 2013 and is responsible for providing oversight and leadership on the commission’s economic, strategic, and grant development practices. She is also responsible for the commission’s procurement guidelines and practices.

Previously, Ms. Daly served in the Cuomo administration as Deputy Director of Regional Economic Development Councils where she coordinated the awarding of $740 million distributed in the program’s second round of funding awards and tracked more than $740 million in projects that were awarded in the first round of funding. She was also responsible for the tracking and spending of nearly $5 billion in leveraged investments and project activity. She has also served as Deputy Commissioner and Vice President of the City of Albany Department of Development and Planning’s Capitalize Albany Corporation where she oversaw citywide economic, business and real estate development services.

Ms. Daly received both her bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning and her master’s in Urban and Regional Planning at the University at Albany.
